Eternal

I am you, you are me, we are one, for in the beginning God formed a man, of the dust of the ground, and breathed the breath of life and man became a living soul. But after seven days and seven nights, God saw this man was all alone and He caused a deep sleep to fall upon man and as he slept, God took a rib and "made he a woman" and brought her unto the man. The man said, "this is now bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man". And he said, "this is she, whom my soul loveth". And she, coming from this man said, "this is he, whom my soul loveth".

Behold, thou are fair, my beloved, yea pleasant, our bed is green, the beams of our house are cedar and the rafters are fir. A bundle of myrrh is my beloved unto me, he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. His left hand is under my head, his right hand doth embrace me. My soul mate spake and said unto me, "rise up my love, my woman and come away, for lo the winter is past, the rain is over and gone".

The flowers appeared on the earth, the time of the singing of birds is come, the voice of the turtle is heard. My beloved is mine and I am his, we feedeth among the lilies. God was good and God was kind for nine hundred and thirty years, when he took away the man. The woman asked, "where is he, whom my soul loveth"? "God, where is my beloved"? It was but a little that God took away the woman and as she departed, said "ye shall meet again and again, as the tide cleaves unto the shore". But when they returned, the man and then the woman, they had forgotten one another.

By night I prayed and by day I searched, for he whom my soul loveth. I sought him but found him not. I promised to rise again and go about the city, in the Streets and in the Broadway's. I promised to seek him, whom my soul loveth. The watchmen that go about the City found me and to whom I said, "saw ye him, whom my soul loveth"? I was but a little that I passed from them and found him and could not let him go...

"Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke"? It is he, whom my soul loveth.
